Sunshine Academy is a values-based and non-denominational community. The school accepts the concept of God, Higher Consciousness, Source of all things and encourages a tolerance of all belief systems held by its students and their families. We ask parents to respect the school’s approach. Students and staff recite universal prayers every day. These help the students to develop a positive philosophy for living, one of tolerance, gratitude and respect.

Universal Prayer:

May all beings in the world be happy.

Namaste Greeting: Namaste! (pronounced ‘naam-us-tay’) We honour the goodness in each other.

Universal Food Prayer (Grace):

We give thanks for this food.

We pray that it makes us healthy, happy, peaceful and loving.

We give thanks for our parents, our teachers and all those who support Sunshine Academy.

We pray that everyone in the world will be given enough food to eat and enough clean water to drink.
