Early Childhood Parents should bring their children to their classroom in the morning and collect from the classroom in the afternoon rather than allowing them to make their own way to and from School. Families collecting children are respectfully asked to do so promptly at 2:45pm. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to collect their child promptly at the conclusion of the school day. The school recognises that there may be isolated occasions when parents/guardians may be delayed through no fault of their own so it is vital that the school is informed when this occurs.

If someone other than those people nominated on the enrolment form is to collect your child written authorisation must be given before your child can leave. Please remember to tell your child of the change. Written authorisation means informing the staff of these changes so that they are recorded on the enrolment form. Age minimum for collecting children is 16.

Teachers will be available to speak with parents until 3:00pm (or at another designated time as arranged through Reception). This enables any messages to be passed on face to face and allows the teacher and parent to communicate on a daily basis about any concerns or issues. It also gives the child a sense of their parents’ involvement in their education. This practice also facilitates an atmosphere of care and promotes maximum teacher-parent communication.

For the safety of students, they should only come to school when the classrooms are open (times shown above). Parents we ask for your assistance in ensuring children arrive on time and promptly collecting children at the end of the school day (times shown above).

Staff will be available 15 minutes before and after school to supervise children. Before this time, teachers have a responsibility for classroom preparation, and supervision of children is difficult.  Hence, for safety reasons, children should not come to school before 8:15am. School commences promptly at 8:35am.  We ask parents/caregivers for assistance in ensuring children arrive on time and come prepared for their day’s lessons. Students arriving after 8:35am need to sign in at the front office and collect a Late Note which is then handed to their teacher.
